The Red Diary: The Re[a]d Diary

The exact same art tells two completely different stories. In one, a biographer tracks the mysterious lineage of what is either a previously unknown Vermeer painting worth millions, or, a forgery worth nothing while trying to reconcile his part in the tragic death of his wife. In the other, a war vet with a dark past builds a new life posing as his deceased foxhole comrade by mining that man’s diaries for a new identity and a chance at salvation his other self could never have hoped for.
