2007 – The Year of the Mans
Posted by Joe Kelly on Welcome to 2007! Glad to see you survived the mire and muck of 2006 and have returned for more witticisms and musings from the Mans! As you can tell from the lack of postings for the past four weeks, we’ve been pretty busy here at the home base. While a good deal of that time was spent troubleshooting my new Xbox 360 until I was willing to sell my soul to play Gears of War online, the rest of the time MOA was actually doing work! Remember that big announcement we’ve been hinting at? While the finishing touches are being put on the press release, we’ve been developing a new animated show with international partners and will be unveiling the astounding results soon. Art is coming in. Scripts are being finalized. Possibly as early as Wizard World LA, you might get to see the next big thing… Meanwhile in more familiar territory, we’re waiting to sign the dotted line of an option for another new animated show with one of our favorite networks. We’re also holding our breath for the results of an animatic test coming in soon for a different pet project. If you like your shows just bursting with imagination, action, and quality, light a candle for this one, gang. It’s too sweet not to put on screen. And in case you haven’t heard, BEN 10 toys were harder to get than Tickle Me Quagmires this season! “Epic Aliens” like the ones above were being yanked off of shelves as soon as they were set out. Thanks to everyone who braved the lines for an Omnitrix – wear them with pride! Now that we’re officially out of cyber-hibernation, expect to see more action on the blog. My little corner of the table will boast a short film, the Ballast animatic, some graphic novel goodness and more in the upcoming weeks – some of which you’ll see in progress as they develop. And as to the rest of the gang..? It’s 2007…this is the Year of the Mans. |
