AMERICAN VIRGIN has been nominated for best Comic Book in the 18th Annual GLAAD Media awards. You can see the other nominees by going to this link:

As they say, it’s an honor just to be nominated, and given that we’re in the company of books as mighty as Alison Bechdel’s FUN HOME, I’ll have to agree with the sentiment.

Given that AV had no PR push for our stories that featured GLBT characters, it’s even more amazing we were noticed at all! Huge thanks to the nominators!

My personal thanks to Becky, Jim, Ryan, Jared, Brian, Vince, Josh, Angela and especially Shelly for all their hard work on the series this year.
